Leadership Staff Guidelines #

Leadership Staff represent Rogue Soldiers Clan and are expected to contribute to the community, treat members fairly, and conduct themselves responsibly. Holding a leadership position is a privilege and may be revoked when these expectations are not met.

Activity and Contribution Requirements #

There is currently no fixed hourly or message-based activity requirement. However, Leadership Staff must remain reasonably active, engaged, and involved in the community.

Prolonged inactivity, repeated failure to contribute, or consistently ignoring leadership responsibilities may result in removal from the Leadership Staff without prior warning or notice.

When possible, staff members should notify leadership of planned extended absences. Providing notice does not guarantee that a position will be held indefinitely.

Senior Admins must meet all of the following requirements: #

  • Donate a minimum of $5 per month to support community operations.
  • Boost the Discord server.
  • Actively participate in voice chat and text channels.

Admins must meet at least two of the following requirements: #

  • Donate a minimum of $5 per month.
  • Boost the Discord server.
  • Actively participate in voice chat and text channels.

Moderators must meet at least one of the following requirements: #

  1. Donate a minimum of $5 per month.
  2. Boost the Discord server.
  3. Actively participate in voice chat and text channels.

Donations and Discord boosts do not excuse inactivity, misconduct, abuse of authority, or failure to perform leadership responsibilities.

Conduct and Member Treatment #

Leadership Staff must treat members, guests, applicants, and other staff members with reasonable respect and professionalism.

Friendly joking and lighthearted trolling are acceptable only when it is apparent that everyone involved is comfortable with it. When someone asks for the behavior to stop, it must stop immediately.

A Leadership Staff member who continues trolling, provoking, harassing, or targeting someone after being asked to stop may be dismissed from the Leadership Staff without warning when credible evidence confirms both the conduct and the refusal to stop.

Leadership Staff must not:

  • Use their position to intimidate, threaten, embarrass, or retaliate against others.
  • Abuse permissions, moderation tools, private information, or access to staff systems.
  • Publicly argue with members when the matter should be handled privately.
  • Encourage rule violations or ignore violations because the person involved is a friend.
  • Present personal opinions as official decisions made by Rogue Soldiers Clan.

Disagreements should be handled calmly. Staff members who cannot remain objective should step away and allow another staff member to address the situation.

Leadership Responsibilities #

Leadership Staff are expected to:

  • Enforce community rules consistently and fairly.
  • Assist members or direct them to the appropriate person or team.
  • Review relevant staff channels and remain informed about important changes.
  • Document significant moderation actions when required.
  • Follow established procedures for warnings, removals, appeals, applications, and other staff matters.
  • Escalate situations they are not authorized or prepared to handle.
  • Avoid making promises or announcing decisions before they have been approved.

Staff members are not expected to be available at all times. However, repeatedly ignoring responsibilities while actively participating elsewhere in the community may be treated as a failure to perform the role.

Confidentiality and Internal Information #

Information shared in staff-only areas must remain confidential unless leadership has approved its release.

This includes:

  • Reports, tickets, appeals, applications, and complaints.
  • Staff discussions, votes, investigations, and disciplinary decisions.
  • Personal or identifying information.
  • Internal documents, tools, procedures, and administrative records.

Confidential information must not be shared with friends, regular members, former staff members, or anyone else who is not authorized to receive it.

Tags and Community Representation #

All Leadership Staff are required to equip the [RS] Discord server tag for recruitment and community exposure purposes.

Leadership Staff must also wear the [RS] tag in applicable games that support clan tags or similar identifiers.

When representing Rogue Soldiers Clan, Leadership Staff are expected to avoid conduct that could reasonably damage the community’s reputation.

Accountability and Removal #

These guidelines establish the minimum expectations for Leadership Staff. Additional responsibilities may apply based on rank, assigned teams, access, or current community needs.

Minor concerns may be addressed through discussion, guidance, or a warning. Serious misconduct, abuse of authority, confidentiality violations, harassment, refusal to stop inappropriate behavior, or conduct that places the community at risk may result in immediate removal without prior warning.

Leadership may remove a staff member who is inactive, disruptive, unreliable, unwilling to follow established procedures, or no longer considered suitable for a leadership position.
