Anti-Poaching Policy #

At [RS] Rogue Soldiers Clan, we believe communities should grow because people genuinely want to be part of them—not because members are pressured, persuaded, or recruited away from other groups.

We respect other clans, gaming communities, and Discord servers, and we expect the same respect in return. Our reputation is built on integrity, professionalism, and fair recruitment.

Poaching is strictly prohibited in every form.

What Is Poaching? #

Poaching is the act of attempting to recruit someone away from another established clan, community, Discord server, or gaming group when they have not expressed interest in joining [RS].

Poaching includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sending unsolicited recruitment messages.
  • Inviting members of another clan to leave and join [RS].
  • Offering incentives, ranks, privileges, or rewards to convince someone to switch communities.
  • Starting conversations with the intention of convincing someone to leave their current group.
  • Recruiting members directly from another Discord server.
  • Encouraging members of the [RS] Discord to leave and join another community.

If someone did not ask about joining [RS], you should not be trying to recruit them.

Respect Other Communities #

Every gaming community invests significant time into building its membership.

We expect our members to respect that effort by avoiding recruitment practices that damage relationships between communities.

Likewise, we expect members of other communities to respect ours.

Healthy competition between communities is encouraged.

Targeting another community's membership is not.

Recruiting in Public Communities #

Some gaming communities allow recruitment in designated channels, while others prohibit it entirely.

Before advertising [RS] anywhere:

  • Read the community's rules.
  • Only recruit where recruitment is explicitly allowed.
  • Follow all restrictions established by that community.
  • Never attempt to bypass their rules.

Failure to respect another community's policies reflects poorly on [RS].

Private Messages #

Private recruitment messages are prohibited unless the recipient initiated the conversation.

Examples of prohibited behavior include:

  • Sending someone a DM asking them to leave their clan.
  • Messaging someone after seeing them complain about their current community.
  • Following someone from another server specifically to recruit them.
  • Sending unsolicited Discord invites.

If they did not ask—you should not message them about joining [RS].

Ethical Recruitment #

We welcome members who choose [RS] because they genuinely want to be here.

Recruitment should always be:

  • Honest
  • Respectful
  • Transparent
  • Free of pressure or manipulation

Never:

  • Bad-mouth another clan or community.
  • Spread misinformation.
  • Make promises that cannot be kept.
  • Pressure someone into leaving their current group.
  • Create drama between communities.

Our goal is to earn members—not steal them.

When Someone Shows Interest #

If someone approaches you first and asks about [RS], you are welcome to answer their questions.

You may explain:

  • What [RS] is.
  • What games we play.
  • Our application process.
  • Our expectations.
  • Our events and community.

However, you should never pressure them to leave their current clan or attempt to rush their decision.

Provide information—not persuasion.

Recruitment From the [RS] Discord #

Our Discord server exists for the benefit of the [RS] community.

Using our Discord to recruit members into another clan, guild, community, Discord server, or gaming group is strictly prohibited.

Examples include:

  • Sending unsolicited invites to another Discord server.
  • Advertising another clan to our members.
  • Asking members to leave [RS] for another community.
  • Attempting to build another community using [RS]'s membership.
  • Direct messaging [RS] members to recruit them elsewhere.
  • Posting recruitment links without authorization.

This behavior is considered poaching and will be treated as a severe violation.

Leadership Expectations #

Members of the Leadership Team are held to a significantly higher standard.

Leadership members must never:

  • Participate in poaching.
  • Encourage poaching.
  • Approve of poaching.
  • Ignore known poaching activity.
  • Assist another individual with poaching.
  • Use their leadership position to recruit members for another community.
  • Endorse recruitment efforts that violate this policy.

Leadership represents the reputation of [RS].

Any leadership member found participating in or supporting poaching may immediately lose their leadership position and may also be permanently banned from all [RS] communities, Discord servers, websites, and services.

Reporting Violations #

If you witness poaching involving [RS], report it to Leadership as soon as possible.

Examples include:

  • Another community attempting to recruit our members.
  • An [RS] member recruiting from another clan.
  • Someone recruiting members from our Discord.
  • Leadership members encouraging or approving poaching.
  • Suspicious recruitment through direct messages.

Reports will be reviewed confidentially and investigated fairly.

Examples of Poaching #

The following are examples of prohibited behavior:

  • Messaging someone from another clan saying they'd be happier in [RS].
  • Offering leadership positions in exchange for leaving another community.
  • Contacting members of another Discord to recruit them.
  • Posting recruitment messages where recruitment is not permitted.
  • Sending unsolicited Discord invites.
  • Recruiting members from the [RS] Discord into another community.
  • Using inside knowledge of another community to target its members.
  • Encouraging dissatisfaction with another clan in order to recruit its members.

What Is Allowed? #

The following are acceptable:

  • Answering questions from someone who contacted you first.
  • Advertising in recruitment channels where permitted.
  • Participating in public recruitment events that allow advertising.
  • Sharing the [RS] website when someone requests information.
  • Inviting friends who are not already committed to another community.
  • Working with other communities on events, tournaments, or partnerships.

Consequences #

Violations of this policy are taken seriously.

Depending on the severity of the offense, disciplinary action may include:

  • Official warning.
  • Removal of recruitment privileges.
  • Temporary suspension.
  • Removal from leadership.
  • Removal from the clan.
  • Permanent ban from all [RS] Discord servers, game servers, websites, and services.

Severe violations, organized recruitment efforts, or repeated offenses will generally result in permanent removal from the community.

We want people to join [RS] Rogue Soldiers Clan because they enjoy our community—not because they were pressured into leaving another one.

We believe strong communities are built through:

  • Respect
  • Integrity
  • Transparency
  • Good sportsmanship
  • Positive relationships with other gaming communities

By following this policy, every member helps protect the reputation that [RS] has worked hard to build.
