Members of the [RS] Leadership Team represent
[RS] Rogue Soldiers Clan and are expected to
contribute to the community, treat members fairly, fulfill their
assigned responsibilities, and conduct themselves responsibly.
Holding a leadership position is a privilege, not a permanent
entitlement. Leadership access and roles may be removed when a
staff member no longer meets the standards expected of the position.
Activity & Contribution Requirements
There is currently no fixed hourly, message-based, or voice-activity
quota for Leadership Staff.
However, staff members are expected to remain reasonably active,
engaged, and involved with the community and with the responsibilities
assigned to their role.
Prolonged inactivity, repeated failure to contribute, or consistently
ignoring leadership responsibilities may result in removal from the
Leadership Team.
When possible, staff members should notify Leadership before an
extended absence. Providing notice helps Leadership plan around the
absence, but it does not guarantee that a position will be held
indefinitely.
Senior Admin Requirements
Senior Admins must meet all three of the following
requirements:
- Donate a minimum of $5 per month to support community operations.
- Boost the [RS] Discord server.
- Actively participate in Discord voice and text channels.
Admin Requirements
Admins must meet at least two of the following
requirements:
- Donate a minimum of $5 per month.
- Boost the [RS] Discord server.
- Actively participate in Discord voice and text channels.
Moderator Requirements
Moderators must meet at least one of the following
requirements:
- Donate a minimum of $5 per month.
- Boost the [RS] Discord server.
- Actively participate in Discord voice and text channels.
Donations and Discord boosts do not excuse inactivity,
misconduct, abuse of authority, or failure to perform
leadership responsibilities.
Conduct & Member Treatment
Leadership Staff must treat members, guests, applicants, and other
staff members with reasonable respect and professionalism.
Friendly joking and lighthearted trolling may be acceptable when
it is clear that everyone involved is comfortable with it.
If someone asks for the behavior to stop, it must stop.
A staff member who continues trolling, provoking, harassing, or
targeting someone after being clearly asked to stop may be removed
from Leadership when credible evidence confirms both the behavior
and the refusal to stop.
Prohibited Staff Conduct
Leadership Staff must not:
- Use their position to intimidate, threaten, embarrass, or retaliate against another person.
- Abuse permissions, moderation tools, private information, administrative access, or staff-only systems.
- Publicly argue with members when the matter should reasonably be handled privately.
- Encourage rule violations or ignore violations because the person involved is a friend.
- Present personal opinions as official decisions made by [RS] Rogue Soldiers Clan.
- Use staff access or authority to gain an unfair personal advantage within the community.
Disagreements should be handled calmly and professionally.
A staff member who cannot remain objective in a situation should
step away and allow another authorized staff member to handle it.
Leadership Responsibilities
Leadership Staff are expected to:
- Enforce community rules consistently and fairly.
- Assist members or direct them to the appropriate person or team.
- Review relevant staff channels and remain informed about important community changes.
- Document significant moderation actions when required.
- Follow established procedures for warnings, removals, appeals, applications, tickets, and other staff matters.
- Escalate situations they are not authorized, qualified, or prepared to handle.
- Avoid making promises or announcing decisions before they have been approved.
- Cooperate with other Leadership Teams when an issue crosses multiple areas of responsibility.
Staff members are not expected to be available at all times.
However, repeatedly ignoring assigned responsibilities while
remaining actively involved elsewhere in the community may be
treated as a failure to perform the role.
Confidentiality & Internal Information
Information shared in staff-only areas must remain confidential
unless Leadership has authorized its release.
Confidential information may include:
- Reports, tickets, appeals, applications, and complaints.
- Staff discussions, votes, investigations, and disciplinary decisions.
- Personal or identifying information.
- Internal documents, tools, procedures, administrative records, and staff-only resources.
- Information obtained through elevated permissions or administrative systems.
Confidential information must not be shared with friends, regular
members, former staff members, or anyone else who is not authorized
to receive it.
Staff members should also avoid discussing confidential matters in
public voice channels, public text channels, livestreams, or other
places where unauthorized people may be able to see or hear the
information.
Tags & Community Representation
All Leadership Staff are required to equip the
[RS] Discord server tag for community visibility
and recruitment exposure.
Leadership Staff must also use the [RS] tag in
applicable games that support clan tags or similar identifiers.
When representing [RS], Leadership Staff are expected to avoid
conduct that could reasonably damage the community's reputation.
Staff members should remember that their behavior may be associated
with [RS] even when they are not actively performing a moderation
or administrative task.
Authority & Staff Discretion
Leadership roles may provide access to moderation tools,
administrative permissions, private information, or decision-making
authority.
That authority should only be used for legitimate community
purposes.
Staff discretion does not mean acting without accountability.
Decisions should remain consistent with [RS] rules, policies,
documented procedures, and the responsibilities of the staff
member's role.
When an issue is unclear or falls outside a staff member's normal
authority, it should be escalated rather than improvised.
Conflicts of Interest
Staff members should avoid making disciplinary or administrative
decisions when a personal relationship, ongoing disagreement, or
other conflict could reasonably affect their objectivity.
When a meaningful conflict exists, another qualified Leadership
member should review or handle the matter whenever practical.
Friendship, seniority, donor status, clan membership, or staff rank
should not shield anyone from legitimate enforcement.
Accountability & Removal
These guidelines establish minimum expectations for Leadership
Staff. Additional responsibilities may apply based on rank,
assigned teams, permissions, access, or current community needs.
Minor concerns may be addressed through:
- Discussion.
- Coaching or guidance.
- A warning.
- Clarification of expectations.
- Temporary adjustment of responsibilities.
More serious issues may justify immediate removal from a Leadership
position.
Examples include:
- Abuse of authority.
- Serious misconduct.
- Confidentiality violations.
- Harassment or retaliation.
- Deliberate misuse of staff tools or permissions.
- Refusal to stop inappropriate behavior.
- Serious dishonesty involving a staff matter.
- Conduct that places the community, its members, or its services at meaningful risk.
Leadership may also remove a staff member who is persistently
inactive, disruptive, unreliable, unwilling to follow established
procedures, repeatedly neglectful of assigned responsibilities, or
no longer considered suitable for a leadership position.
Leadership Positions Are Not Guaranteed
A staff rank does not create a permanent right to retain that
position.
Community needs, staffing requirements, reliability, conduct,
activity, performance, and trust may all be considered when
determining whether someone should continue serving in Leadership.
Removal from Leadership does not automatically mean removal from
the clan or community unless the underlying conduct independently
warrants further action.
Final Standard
Leadership Staff should contribute to the community, exercise
authority responsibly, protect confidential information, treat
people fairly, and remain accountable for their actions.
Lead by example. Use authority responsibly. Stay involved.
Protect the community and treat people fairly.
